CINCINNATI (August 12, 2009) With just about everything you could want from professional sporting teams, to some of the best museums in the country, two amazing riverfronts and much more. But you don’t have to take our word for it…

Cincinnati USA has recently been getting some well-deserved recognition from some major names. Earlier this year, the Queen City was recognized for one of its many outstanding museums. In March, Forbes Traveler listed the Cincinnati Museum Center as one of the most visited museums in the country. Named right along with the Smithsonian’s Air & Space Museum in Washington D.C, the Field Museum in Chicago, the Cincinnati Museum Center boasted 1.8 million visitors in 2008.

Appropriately in May, CNN posted CareerBuilder’s list of top cities for college graduates. Cincinnati USA ranked number four based on criteria of available jobs and cost of living. The average apartment rent is listed at $691 and the popular entry-level jobs include sales, customer service and health care.

In August, Cincinnati USA made big waves when it was named the 6th best city for working mothers by Forbes AND the number nine on Outside Magazine’s Best City list. The reason it’s such a good place for mothers? Cost of living, adequate health care coverage and pediatrician options, low violent crimes, child care and quality of schools were the top reasons. Income and unemployment rates, and park space also played into the equation.

In a common theme, Outside Magazine named a top of the chart economy featuring “a low cost of living and resilient and well-balanced blend of industries (everything from aerospace to advertising)” as the reason for Cincinnati USA’s top-ten ranking. Cincinnati Magazine editor Jay Stowe was quoted in the piece praising his newly adopted hometown for its urban ease, green spaces, riverfront development, architecture, restaurants, and proximity to great hiking, camping and white water rafting destinations. He also mentions the annual Oktoberfest – the second largest in the world.
