Each year Jim Day explores the must-see events and attractions throughout the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region in the TV Campaign Where in Cincinnati USA is Jim Day? which airs during Cincinnati Reds baseball games on the cable channel FOX Sports Ohio. You may be wondering, ‘Who is Jim Day?’
Jim Day is the host of Reds Live with Jim Day, a 30 minute show before and after every Cincinnati Reds game. Because of Jim’s great love of the region, especially Cincinnati Reds baseball, he was chosen to be the star of CincinnatiUSA.com’s TV campaign Where in Cincinnati USA is Jim Day?
Jim is a native Ohioan who grew up going to Cincinnati Reds games. As a child, Jim’s favorite player was Pete Rose. Jim says there was ‘no one that played harder [than Pete]. He was awesome to watch!’ Jim spends a lot of time surrounded by Reds players now at Great American Ball Park. When he’s not at the ballpark, Jim enjoys taking his family to some of the region’s best attractions.
Jim and his family find the Newport Aquarium ‘enjoyable and educational’ and often follow that with a trip to Devou Park to take a relaxing walk and enjoy panoramic views of the city and river from the overlook.
Another favorite spot of Jim’s is Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. Jim says, ‘I’m a history buff, and I love the arts of any kind. The exhibits and events over the years have been impressive and make Cincinnati stand out as a cultural hub of the Midwest.’
Throughout the TV campaign, Jim has had many fun experiences at area attractions like feeding a giraffe at Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, holding a penguin at Newport Aquarium and cruising on the Ohio River aboard BB Riverboats. To see everywhere Jim has been click here.
